The traumatic hemobilia is a hemorrhage into the biliary tract preceded by liver injury.
Hemobilia may result from foreign bodies, such as T-tubes and calculi, neoplasms, hepatic arterial
aneurysms and inflammatory disease, however trauma is the greatest factor.
The diagnosis of traumatic hemobilia is very difficult and is rarely made preoperatively.
It¢¥s common clinical pictures are colicky abdominal pain, obstructive jaundice and obscure gastro
intestinal bleeding.
Two cases of traumatic hemobilia were treated in the 3rd. Army Hospital and the literatures
were reviewed.
